On Speaking God’s Promises

Teaching on speaking God’s Promises

We are a pampered people But God will not spoil us

"If you remain in my word . . .

you will know the truth and the truth will make you free"

John 8: 31 & 32

Truth with-out freedom brings the chains of legalism

Freedom with-out truth brings the chaos of licentiousness

My word blends the truth of my law with the freedom of my love

so that there is a balance.

If I give you truth without your remaining in my word,

you can not handle it with grace.

If I give you freedom without your remaining in my word

then you can not handle it with reverence.

Go ahead, declare a releasing of Truth over my people,

it is a promise I have made to them.

Go ahead, declare a releasing of Freedom

it is also a promise I have made

But be careful to teach the need to remain in my word with those declarations

Be aware when declaring my promises over people.

That many of my promises have conditions attached,

And that I cannot fulfill the promise until the condition is met.

If you do not teach the condition

You are giving an impossible vision, a false hope.

Without vision the people perish but hope deferred makes the heart sick

and hope that is false leads to

disillusionment,

discouragement,

depression,

And even sometimes the death of faith.

My conditions are not hard . . . They are for your good

They prepare you for the fulfillment of my promises

They make you strong enough to handle the weight

of all the promises that await you.

Just like continuing in my word balances truth and freedom

Fulfilling the conditions of my promises brings balance to your life

and gives you the strength to walk fully in my promise

without faltering or failing.

Cloudbursts From Heaven

Cloudbursts from Heaven

The song was sung:

Let it Rain, Let it Rain ... Open the Flood gates of Heaven:

and the new song came:
Send us a cloud burst
We want a cloud burst
We need A desert rainstorm
We want your water L-rd - - your water is life
We see the rainbow in the cloud
And the water in the cloud is glory
the water in the cloud is healing
Send us a cloud burst
A desert rainstorm O L-rd
With the thunder and the lightning and the rainbow
The thunder from your throne O L-rd
In the cloud are the waters of life
Send the them down on us oh L-rd, Over us
In this cloud are the waters of life
Let it rain
And let it pour
Over us
The storm is coming
The storm is coming
Don't be afraid of the storm
There is thunder in the rain
There is thunder in the air
And the lightning strikes
And the fire falls
And the glory – fill the land
We want your rain
Fill the rivers up L-rd
We want your rain
We want your rivers L-rd,
The water in the cloud is the water of life
And we want you L-rd, to pour it down

and the word came:
The water is coming
It is coming down off the mountains
where the river is being filled
with the waters of God
If you are asleep in the gully
you will be washed away
But if you know it is coming
If you know it is coming
If you know it is coming
You can drink of the water of life
do not be asleep in the dry beds
be awake
be watchful
know that the Spirit of God is releasing
He is releasing a downpour
He is releasing a thunder storm
And there is thunder and there is lighting
And where the lightning strikes there is fire
And that fire goes out
And that fire cleanses and that fire does what fire is supposed to do
And it purifies the land
And were the fire goes the water follows
and new life grows
New life, New life
And there will be healing in this new life

A Word for Shavout

A word for for Shavout (Pentecost)

I have made a covenant with my people
You who walk in my ways

I have made a covenant with you
And by My Spirit you will do great and mighty things
And by My Spirit is the promise fulfilled

You have not begun to understand what I will do with you
And what I will do through you by My Spirit

You have not begun to understand the great and mighty things
That I am doing in your midst

But I have made a covenant with you
And greater things than Jesus did
Will you do by My Spirit

The Indescribable Made Describable

The Indescribable Made Describable

After these things I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said: "Come up here so that I can show you what must happen after these things." Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was standing in heaven with someone seated on it! And the one seated on it was like jasper and carnelian in appearance, and a rainbow looking like it was made of emerald encircled the throne. (Revelation 4:1-3)1
And John attempted to put in words the vision he had seen - and the one seated was something like jasper . . . And He was something like carnelian . . . and He was something like a rainbow . . .

How do we describe You?
How do we portray?
The one who defies description
The words escape me

"Holy" just begins to touch it
"Wonder" fails to convey and
"Glory" barely reaches the beauty you display

How do we describe You?
How do we portray
Your being so defies
The very words we try to say

There are no words
There is no voice That can touch
That can begin to communicate
How awesome You truly are
No wonder You withhold
this vision from so many
The inability to describe You
would drive us to insanity
No wonder You say
No man can see God and live

How do we describe You?
How do we portray
Your being so defies
the very words we try to say

And so You sent us Jesus
So we could look on Him
The One who was pierced
And be able to describe
Be able to know the depth of Your love
The depth of compassion
That the Holy One of Israel has for His creation
This ONE part of Your character
This ONE part of Your being.
This ONE part of who You are
You have given us

How do we describe You?
How do we portray
Your being so defies
the very words we try to say
Though Your glory cannot be described
Though Your beauty escapes us
Though Your being
is beyond all understanding
Your LOVE we can touch
Your LOVE we can see
Your LOVE we can know

The Indescribable One lowered Himself
And became describable
And still we do not comprehend
And still we sell You short
in our understanding
So open our eyes
And show us Jesus
The Lion who is the Lamb
The God who became man.

And so we come to the table of the Lord
The elements Jesus used to describe himself
He said this is my body
which is broken for you
this is the lamb - this is the lion
this is my body, your bread, your life
this is my blood which was shed for you
this too is the lion, this too is the lamb
this too is your life
and I said Lord,
How do I partake of your body
how do I partake of your blood
how do I - - - how do I come
and He said, just do it
the indescribable one became describable
and we taste and we see and we know
so come and taste the bread
that represents the body
come drink of the cup that represents the blood
and know that there is a way to describe our God
because He hung on the cross
because he came to the earth
because he loved us enough to give us this
to remember -
to taste and to be able
to describe him
the indescribable made describable

Seek Me

Seek Me

I am the Lord Your God,
Thou shalt have no other gods before me

Many are speaking glory
Many are telling about the glory I am releasing to my people
And I Am
I Am releasing a season of glory and power in my church

But the glory is not the goal
I Am
The glory is not the focus
I Am
I Am the goal
I Am the focus
Don't seek the glory, seek me
Seek me and the glory will find you
Seek me and the glory will be yours
Jesus, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross
Yes, He knew the joy was coming --
but His own glory was not the joy He was looking towards.
the joy, the joy that made the cross possible for Him,
was to be back with me,
The joy was my presence -
my glory, not his own.

So don't seek the glitz, glamour and glory
They are not important -
I AM

The glitz, glamour and glory are byproducts,
they are little g's, little god's
Why would you seek byproducts, when I am available?
Do not seek the little g's seek me.

I am the Lord your God, and you are to have no other gods before me

I am the Big G
Seek me, for the sake of seeking me
And when you find me, the rest won't be so important anyway.

The Heat's Been Turned Up

The Heat's Been Turned Up

The-HeatThe heat's been turned up
The winds are blowing
The rain is on its way
As the thunder clouds form
Prepare for the storm
Something tells me it might be today

The thunder in the distance
Is the army of the Lord
Make ready for the coming of the king
The wind that's rustling in the trees
Is the Spirit of the Lord
Preparing soon His song to sing
And as we wait and watch and pray
And share his words of love and grace
We search the skies for his wondrous face
And make ready the bride for her king
