Whirlwind – Peace Be Still

Her whirlwind life is taking its toll
It's beating her body, her mind, and her soul
and the hardest part is,
She doesn't know
She sees no other options. No other way.
She just keeps piling it on every day.
And every day feels harder than the day before
and everyday her heart breaks down, just a little more.
And all the while her God is there
waiting for that whispered prayer
that moment when she steps aside
stops taking things into her stride
and asks for help, and calls His Name,
Her life will never be the same
For He gives strength for each new day
Renews our hope – creates a ways
and shows His love in little things,
as flowers shine like diamond rings.
But we must slow down
we must take a break
Tell Him our hurt, our fear and our ache,
take time to breathe and whisper our prayer
and know that He is always there.

Be Still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:11
Be still, my soul, The Lord is on thy side
Bear patiently, the cross of grief or pain
Leave to thy God, to order and provide
In every change, He faithful will remain
Be still, my soul, thy best thy heavenly friend
Through thorny ways, leads to a joyful end
